I’ve been shooting photos on several occasions during the last weeks. Since they were of public interest they didn’t make it into my private image gallery.

Amongst them are pictures from three public viewing events of our national soccer team playing:

Other Events were:

And of course there were some party pictures:

Pictures of Market Team’s Strategiewochenende in Bamberg

Monday, June 26. 2006

PartyA few weeks ago Julia had asked me to do some DJing at an internal Market Team party, since I was member of this student initiative for about 3 years, and we always had the best parties in Bamberg at that time, I could easily be convinced to do that job. The Party was real success.

Since I was on the road with a camera for the whole weekend I also have some picture coverage:

Thank god - it's the lens

Friday, June 23. 2006

Having some conversation with the Canon hotline (it took ten minutes to get out of the queue) this week they told me to check the lens by crosschecking the functionality of my camera with another lens. Yesterday I finally got hold of the Feki.de EOS 300D, and was able to check my camera. The result feels somewhat relieving. My camera is fully functional, but the lens is broken.

So I can carry on and bug my friends shoting unpleasant pictures. Like on Wednesday at and after partying at the Brasserie.

Camera broken

Sunday, June 18. 2006

I’m sorry to tell you, that you can’t expect too many pictures during the next days/weeks (well there is a chance that I’ll be able to convince my parents to lend me their camera) but mine is broken right now. The shutter finally won’t get my a picture, but a neat ERR99…

Winter once more and "The road not taken"

Tuesday, March 7. 2006

Winter RoadThere has been a broad throwback from an uprising spring (with almost 10°C) to a winter wonderland. So I used a picture I shot on my way from Truppach to Bamberg last sunday to create a new header picture. I know it is quite dark, and I also tweaked the colour of the navigation, but there is also some light. Gonna take the way to the light ;-). Looking at this picture I see a lonely road and some distant woods. Road/wood/winter reminds me to a poem by Robert Frost, which I won't keep from you.

The road not taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that, the passing there
Had worn them really about the same.
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
