Geh raus aus meinem Kopf

(by Christina Stürmer)

Vers 1.
Immer wieder sehe ich dich.
Wie hinter Wolken sehe ich dein Gesicht.
Nur in der Erinnerung.
Die wie Porzellan zerbricht.

Irgendwie bleibst du da,
und irgendwie auch nicht.

Refrain

Sag mir mal, was soll das bloß!

Du lässt mich einfach stehen,
Und setzt in mein Herz einen Stoß.

Refrain:
Mittelteil Chor:
Geh raus aus eine Kopf
Will dich nicht mehr wieder sehen
habe keinen Platz mehr für dich.

(by Bullet for my Valentine)

Betrayed one more time!...
…but somewhere down that line…
…your gonna get what’s coming to you!...

Look at me now!
Look at me now…
(Look at me now!)

Pull it out from my back!...
…Soon I’m the one that’s on attack

(Cant wait to return the favour!)

Look at me now!
Look at me now…
(Look at me now!...)

Too many times I’ve seen it
Rip a hole into our friendship
This is how its been, how it always will be…
…you think you're above me… (You think you're above me!)
But now im here to eny…
(Four words to choke upon)
Look (Look) at me now!

Betrayed one more time!...
…but somewhere down that line…
…your gonna get whats coming to you!...

Look at me now!
Look at me now…
(Look at me now!)

Pull it out from my back!...
…Soon I’m the one that’s on attack
(Can’t wait to return the favour)

Look at me now!
Look at me now…
(Look at me now!...)

Too many times I’ve seen it
Rip a hole into our friendship
This is how its been, how it always will be…

you think you're above me… (You think you're above me!)
But now im here to eny…

(four words to choke upon)
Look (Look) at me now!

[Guitar Solo]

(Too many time I’ve seen it
Rip a hole into our frendship
four words to choke upon!)

Too many times ive seen it
Rip a hole into our friendship
This is how its been, how it always will be
You think you're above me… (You think you're above me!)
But now im here to eny…
(Four words to choke upon)
Look at me now!

hurt

Monday, May 15. 2006

When the day is long and the night, the night is yours alone,
when you're sure you've had enough of this life, well hang on.
Don't let yourself go, everybody cries and everybody hurts sometimes.

Sometimes everything is wrong. Now it's time to sing along.
When your day is night alone, (hold on, hold on)
if you feel like letting go, (hold on)
when you think you've had too much of this life, well hang on.

Everybody hurts. Take comfort in your friends.
Everybody hurts. Don't throw your hand. Oh, no. Don't throw your hand.
If you feel like you're alone, no, no, no, you are not alone

If you're on your own in this life, the days and nights are long,
when you think you've had too much of this life to hang on.

Well, everybody hurts sometimes,
everybody cries. And everybody hurts sometimes.
And everybody hurts sometimes. So, hold on, hold on.
Hold on, hold on. Hold on, hold on. Hold on, hold on. (repeat & fade)
(Everybody hurts. You are not alone.)

Dido - Sand in my shoes

Tuesday, March 28. 2006

Two weeks away it feels like the world should've changed
But I'm home now
And things still look the same
I think I'll leave it to tomorrow till unpack
Try to forget for one more night
That I'm back in my flat on the road
Where the cars never stop going through the night
To real life where I can't watch sunset
I don't have time
I don't have time

[Chorus:]
I've still got sand in my shoes
And I can't shake the thought of you

I shake it all, forget you
Why, why would I want to
I know we said goodbye

Anything else would've been confused but I wanna see you again

Tomorrow's back to work down to sanitation
should've run back ?? before I left here
Try to Mama show her that I was happy here
Before I knew that I could get on the plane and fly away

From the road where the cars never stop going through the night
To real life where I can't watch sunset
And take my time
Take up our time

[Chorus]

I wanna see you again
Two weeks away, all it takes to change in time around by falling

I walked away and never said that I wanted to see again

[Chorus x2]

I wanna see you again
I wanna see you again

When I came home from Malaysia, I listened to this song quite a few times. At this time it was because of that "holiday topic" that is covered in the lyrics of this song: You return home and you still feel the warmth of the holidays. Listening to this song I felt that warmth. So I attributed quite some good feelings to this song. My friends in BA and my family helped my to feel the warmth of home, after I had returned and the visions of what I had lost softly blurred...

Listening to this song now... gets me almost to hate it. Feelings about "wanderlust " and love are something completely different..

Irrecoverable meets do-gooder

Wednesday, February 22. 2006

What happens if above mentioned scenario is happening? Guess one side has to lose. Or both do.. When will I learn, that I can’t heal the world?

Still playing "Revolverheld - Die Welt steht still" soon to be followed by "Michael Jackson - Heal the world".

Edit 9:08pm: Guess the answer is pretty simple. The do-gooder becomes even more irrecoverable.

Burning pleasure

Thursday, February 16. 2006

Right now my mouth is burning, my nose is running, and I’m feeling really satisfied. It is one of those moments, when I can lean back and dream about the spicy hot food in Malaysia, because I’m having a piece of it here. Quite interesting that some 39 cent instant soup from the next asia shop and some extra chilli can get me to such feelings.

Thoughts about English and German and…

Wednesday, February 8. 2006

I’m using this Blog to enhance my sensitivity for the English language. Sometimes it works very well, sometimes I’m still producing big mistakes. Luckily there are some friends who help me to recognize those mistakes. So if there are some errors in my writings don’t hesitate to inform me. But that’s not really the point I wanted to lead to. I really like to experiment with the English language. My feeling for it is kind of different to the German language. And being a big music fan, there are often some nice song quotations I can use here. But today I feel that a German text is matching my feelings much better. I want to thank the German Band 2raumwohnung for there song “Wir trafen uns in einem Garten” (We met in a garden), and hope that they forgive me for not only linking to the lyrics of this song, but also for quoting it here:

wir trafen uns in einem garten
musik: i.humpe/ t.eckart
text: i.humpe

wir trafen uns in einem garten
wahrscheinlich unter einem baum
oder war's in einem flugzeug
wohl kaum wohl kaum

ganz schrecklich einsam bin

dann denk ich mal was anderes

dann denk ich mal was anderes

dann denk ich mal was anderes
als immer nur an dich
denn das viele an dich denken
bekommt mir nicht
am nächsten tag bin ich so müde
ich paß gar nicht auf
und meine freunde finden
ich seh fertig aus

The Goethe institute in Paris did also make a nice game for students learning German. Have a look at it here.
