Advent calendar - 19 - Hundstage

Saturday, December 19. 2009

Jay presents in our DVD-shelf today: Hundstage, the Austrian movie, which won the price of the Jury at the film festival in Venice in 2001. It is an episodic movie about pretty people dealing with the pretty hot days in July/August in Austria (I'm still dreaming of a summer holiday).
"Wer diesen Film gesehen hat, wird ihn nicht mehr vergessen, egal ob er ihn geliebt oder gehasst hat."

Arrived!

Tuesday, August 14. 2007

I had a smooth journey to the festival grounds. Since I managed to get an Austrian cellphone card I'm reachable under +4369911349637 at the moment. Unluckily, despite my understanding I only got a press accreditation for the event and no foto accreditation - so I'm not allowed to take my DSLR camera with me. Hopefully my new cellphone will provide some useful snapshots..

Out for the Frequency-Festival

Tuesday, August 14. 2007

Leaving this afternoon I will be heading head for Salzburg, to visit the Frequency-Festival, which takes place at the Salzburgring this week. Headliners are Nine Inch Nails, Die Ärzte and Tool. But of course there a lot of really good bands on stage. I’m looking forward to see: Kaiser Chiefs, Billy Talent, Groove Armada, Klaxons and Fall Out Boy!

Like for the Southside festival I will be there sent by Feki.de to give the users there a nice coverage of the event. Unluckily I don’t have nice company like last time. But visiting a festival on your own will be fun, too ;-). I will try to give you some live coverage through moblogging here, but I’m not sure how often I will manage to do this, since the costs sending from Austria might be quite high.

Skiing once more!

Thursday, October 12. 2006

Seems like I owe you a little explanation for my changed header picture ;-) First I found that nice image a few weeks ago and thought it would fit very well – although being a little “retro”. It shows (from right to left) Andi, To and me on our first skiing trip to Laax some years ago.

Thx to my friend Berit I’ll be skiing once again this weekend! I know this seems awfully early but the Erdinger brewery has organized a trip to the glacier of Hintertux (you can go skiing on some tiny glacier-slopes the whole year there), and Berit won two tickets for this event through Antenne Bayern. Seeking for someone to join her on this trip Berit found me, and now the two of us will be on our way to Hintertux this Saturday :-)

Back from Salzburg / Munich

Friday, May 26. 2006

Salburg castleI returned late yesterday night, were I visited my friends Tom and To after visiting the Edumedia 2006 conference in Salzburg. Unluckily I didn’t make it to start digesting the conference and my impressions yesterday. First I had to overcome the shock that my favourite basketball team didn’t make it into the playoff finals this year, then I decided to consume the season final of Twenty-Four. Right now I have already sorted through two picture sets for my private gallery. The first set contains pictures taken directly from the conference, which I will us later for a short summary on thoughts I had about the different topics. The second (the best shots are already available on flickr) contains pictures of our little sightseeing tour we had after the conference.

On the road

Monday, May 22. 2006

Seems like my planings for this week are finally finished. Tomorrow, I'll be at the Social Skills durch Social Software conference, where I will probably meet him, and stay here.

On Wednesday I'll move on to Munich to meet up with Tom. I'll stay at Tom's place from Wednesday to Thursday, and probably at To's place whom I'm also going to meet from Thursday to Friday.
