Fancy - a little language course

Today I found a great word to show how context sensitive the English language can be. Since I fancy my Langenscheidts dictionary I want to share my knowledge with you.. since Udo Jürgens "Weichei" was involved, please don't ask me how I came up with "fancy"..

fan·cy ['¦‘®³ê] I. s. 1. Fanta'sie f: a) Einbildungskraft f, b) Fanta'sievorstellung f, c) (bloße) Einbildung;

2. Liebhaber m

fan·cy pants s. Am. sl. 1. ,feiner Pinkel˜;

2. ,Waschlappen˜ m

fan·cy wom·an s. [irr.] 1. Geliebte f;

2. Prostituierte f

So what is this all about? I have a fancy, that you might need the above translation to understand this text. I’m in fact fancy-free, which does not necessarily mean that I wouldn’t fancy fancy articles, although I indeed wouldn’t push it with fancy women. I try to write like my fancy takes me, but I don’t fancy on my English skills, so I should not use any more fancy words.
