Dubi Dam Dam

Since I didn’t publish much about my daily life through the last days, I got to cover quite a few events now, I've chosen that fancy title since i can't get that stupid song of "Banaroo" out of my mind right now.

Thursday
Since Dirk needed new shoes to play Squash on Friday, he suggested that we should go for some short shopping after work. At half past seven we headed for One Utama Shopping mall. I saw an interesting lens (Canon 90-300mm USM for MYR 720), but didn’t buy it, since this is still a lot of money. After a long journey through almost every sports-shop Dirk got some Nike shoes. After arriving at home we decided, that it would be a good idea to go out for a beer, and ended up drinking a few more at the Rokaro Bar (near the PJ Hilton). They had a nice Chinese coverband there which did a decent job playing soft rock musik.
It was only about 1am, when we had to leave and I didn’t drink more than 1,5l of beer (which actually is about no beer at all), but the next day I didn’t feel too well. Since Dirk had some Problems, too and had already had the same Problems a few weeks before staying at that bar with Max, we assume, that they have some problems with the tap at this bar – next time we will not go for beer there.

Friday
At the evening I already felt better. I worked late until 8pm and went to bed early around 11pm.

Saturday
As you noticed I was at Starbucks on Saturday, and made some minor chances at the Blog. Some of the things I toyed around involved a lot of time, so I left Starbucks, after my battery died. But now I got a working static “contact”-page, a working link list, and I can directly get new plugins from the serendipity repository onto my page.
I planned to spend some time at the pool on Saturday afternoon – but the weather didn’t like that – it started to rain and I had to stay at home. For the evening Dirk and I decided to go to downtown KL for some entertainment. The location we ended up was the “beach club” and I will give a more detailed report about that location at a given time. We had a bottle of vodka and took a taxi home, after the lights went on shortly after 3am.

Sunday
Since Saturday night was quite long I slept until noon. In the afternoon Dirk and I headed for Mid-valley Mega Mall to do some shopping. We ended up spending the whole day there, since we wanted to see the movie “Kingdom of Heaven” and only got tickets for the 9pm show. I bought a new bag for my laptop and Dirk got some clothes and books. After all it was a relaxed Sunday.

Added Note Fr, 27.05.05:
Some 20 People accessed my Blog page in the last days searching for Lyrics of Banaroo's "Dubi Dam Dam" song. Incredible how I could get such a good ranking with this blog article. Since I don't want to disappoint anyone else accessing my page in search for the songtext I added it to this post:

Edit: Mi, 02.08.06:
No wonder that I immediately recognised that song at the TIO restaurant in Erlangen last week since I've already blogged about that song. I moved the lyrics into the extended body, though.

Dubi Dam…
Dubi Dam Dam - Da Dubi Daba Dibi Dam
Dubi Dam Dam - Da Dubi Dibi Dam
Dubi Dam Dam - Da Dubi Daba Dibi Dam
Dubi Dam Dam - Da Dubi Dibi Dam

When I was lying in my bedroom
There was a scary sound behind the door
It was a sound of space and nowhere
I never heard before
Got out of bed and saw this green light
There was something going on
But then I saw an alien and he
began his song

It goes
Dubi Dam Dam - Da Dubi Daba Dibi Dam
Dubi Dam Dam - Da Dubi Dibi Dam
Dubi Dam Dam - Da Dubi Daba Dibi Dam
Dubi Dam Dam - Da Dubi Dibi Dam
Dubi Dam Dam - Da Dubi Daba Dibi Dam
Dubi Dam Dam - Da Dubi Dibi Dam
Dubi Dam Dam - Da Dubi Daba Dibi Dam
Dubi Dam Dam - Da Dubi Dibi Dam

Dubi Dam Dam - Da Dubi Daba Dibi Dam
Dubi Dam Dam - Da Dubi Dibi Dam
Dubi Dam Dam - Da Dubi Daba Dibi Dam
Dubi Dam Dam - Da Dubi Dibi Dam

He stood in front of his blue starship
I saw that he could fly just like a bird
He told me stories about his planet
Across the universe
With lots of fun we talked for hours
But later on he had to leave
Now he is gone but I can still hear
His little melody

It goes
Dubi Dam Dam - Da Dubi Daba Dibi Dam
Dubi Dam Dam - Da Dubi Dibi Dam
Dubi Dam Dam - Da Dubi Daba Dibi Dam
Dubi Dam Dam - Da Dubi Dibi Dam
Dubi Dam Dam - Da Dubi Daba Dibi Dam
