Thoughts on mobile blogging
Thursday, June 28. 2007During the last days i've learned some lessons on mobile blogging. First of all the inevitability of using an efficient input method. During the southside festival I didn't know how to configure the T9 input of my mobile to English, that issue made it very complicated to write longer entries. Meanwhile I can type in a at least decent speed. I consider such mobile entries as a gimmick, though. It's a nice to have feature to send picture impressions instantly to the web, but it's almost impossible to set links, and write longer entries. I will use mobile entries in the future to keep my blog more vivid. The part weeks i didn't find too much time to reflect on my activities via blogging - I think this will not change within the near future. Some mobile impressions might make up for this.

The Dragon has been tamed. Yesterday the Team of the Brose Baskets Bamberg won the fourth play off final against the Artland Dragons, ending the best of five series 3:1 for Bamberg! Two years ago, when Bamberg won the championship the first time, i was far away in Malaysia and couldn't take place in the celebrations. This year I was there in the front row. I took pictures of the public viewing at the Haas Säle, from the fans celebrating in the city, at the Maxplatz when the Team arrived back from Quakenbrück and later of the team partying at the Il Centro.
Last pit stop

Just took a last stop at the press area, to check my entries and to answer some comments. Guess I won't be back here after the Beastie Boys, who are up next at the main stage. I'll get you an impression from their concert online and afterwards we will be back on the road heading first to Stuttgart, to drop Tobi there and then home.
Up to now I've just the best impressions of this festival. Although getting all those bands photographed can you get quite tired. I should have trained to walk around with several kilos of camera equipment for a whole weekend..
Anyway. I won't spent much more time here, but rather join Jan and Tobi in front of the stage and look forward to a great performance of the Beastie Boys!
